#4B’s: The Intro

I have been so slack for this real estate career blog since 2020 started.  It’s not that I don’t like to write.  But, it is one of the most focused and time consuming type of content, in my opinion, to create.  I have tried the whole transcribing voice, etc but it still seems to just cost me as much time editing as it would to type it it from scratch.  So basically, I just need to have the discipline to take the time to create the blog posts and add value to my fellow Realtors that enjoy a good read.  Let’s be honest, my goal is to provide solid tactical and applicable advice for your real estate career no matter if you work with Eagle Realty or not.  So, I will continue to create content in every medium I can.

All that being said, let’s start our first blog series for Realtors for 2020.  I am call it the 4 B’s.  The 4 B’s is basically our company and my personal mantra for 2020.  Some people choose a single word, I chose 4 of them that started with the letter B.  Well the last one I kind of helped it out a little.  Are you ready for them?  Here they are.  The 4 B’s include: Business, Brand, Brain, & Big-Heartedness. I believe that every aspect of your real estate career and where you want it to go falls under or is directly correlated with one of these words.  I also believe that the trajectory of success and where you want your real estate success to grow to will be in direct proportion with how much you increase in each of these four areas.  Every single day you need to be trying to grow and increase your potential and energy in each of these 4 areas for your business life.

#Business:  Anything you can track, any data or metrics that apply to your real estate business.  The numbers, the goals, the strategy behind everything you do day in and day out.  Do you track your numbers?  Like all of them, not just commission checks?  Once we really know our business, like really know it down to the penny and the conversion rates for everything we do, then our business starts becoming predictable and trackable.  We have to be more diligent in not only keeping track, but interpreting our numbers and metrics correctly.

#Brand: Content, content, content.  You heard me before.  I will continue to preach content at scale for your real estate business.  I will also continue to preach, like I have for years now that if you don’t create put our consistent content of value to the audience you want to reach for real estate business, and make it a priority then you will look back in 5-10 years and regret it.

#Brain:  You never arrive.  You are never the smartest, best, most expert Realtor that has ever lived.  You must keep a mentality to keep growing your knowledge and skills as a Realtor on the daily.  No excuses, just work.

#Big-Heartedness:  Probably one of the most over looked and under utilized skill set in business, any business, today.  Kindness is underrated.  Empathy is underrated.  Caring and serving for those around us in the community and world we work, underrated.  What is often overlooked is the fact that your true success and legacy in business may be more directly linked to this “B” than any of the others.  You really want to have a “successful” career by more than the world’s standards?  Focus on the impact of having a caring heart in your business life daily.
