What’s Love Got To Do With It?
A lot. Thats’ simple. I mean, if you don’t love what you are doing in life, what’s the point? Oh, you thought i was about to get all Valentines Day on you with the #love pun? Well, kinda.
Your real estate career is a love-hate relationship. Well, any career is going to be that, or should. Of course there are bad days and times you want to just not work anymore. But the more important question is are you doing real estate as a job, or a career? Can you see yourself doing anything else? Do you wish you were doing something else on a day-to-day basis? A career can be defined by a pursuit of passion in the work segment of your life. You should have a drive to succeed and work on the daily to move forward. You should feel energized in what you do and what you are trying to accomplish. Life is too short to just be going through the motions of a “job” that provides a paycheck. In essence, real estate can’t be that because by its very nature it is a commission business, but you get my point.
Love should be in the vocabulary of every Realtor. It should be mingled in with the description of what you do each day, how you feel about your clients and your goals, and the affinity you have towards the product you help make a reality for people. Love should be seen both internal and external when it comes to how you view your daily work, prospecting, closings, listings, buyer appointments, marketing, social media, etc, etc.
So what does love have to do with your real estate career? Everything.
